Teaching in Calgary, AB in just a few weeks!

I am thrilled to be heading over to Calgary to teach at this awesome store!
I met the owner, Joanne in Los Angeles when she took another class from me.
I'll be teaching three classes for them using Punky Sprouts, Bella Blvd., Crate Paper, and K and Company. We are going to have a blast!!!
I'll be teaching from: May 13th-16th!
She's getting the class information up on her site.
If you would like to take one or all three of the classes, please call the store.

If you are in the area, we hope you can make it.

Just us girls

The other day I went to a crop at my friend Carla's house. I had so much fun hanging out with a lot of our girlfriends. I haven't had a chance to scrap with them for a while so it was great to catch up. I took several pictures!

This is a project using Punky Sprouts album and Crate Paper.
The alphabet stickers are Basic Grey.

I outlined parts of the flowers with my Glaze pen that you all know that I love.
Usually I paint or glimmer mist my canvas pages but this one I kept like it is.
I love that I can use my pen and write on it directly.
You can't tell very well but the page on the right hand side is a half oval acrylic page. Love the shape. So easy to use.
Here's the back side of the page. Check out my friend Satyn getting her scrap on!
I made a pocket page to keep tags in. The canvas sheet on the right
I stamped on. Then I glimmer misted a little. I also used my blue glaze pen to color in some of the flowers.
The last page I kept simple and just added some flowers and again used my glaze pen to write their names directly on the pictures.
Thanks for looking!!!

I won't scrap with out this!

Anyone that scraps with me can and will tell you that there is only one pen that I use and that's this one right here! Sakura Glaze pen!! I love this pen!
I have never liked my writing very much but this pen makes my writing a lot better.

Here I wrote the word LOVE one time.

I wrote the same word underneath and went over it a second time. Look at how much bolder it looks now.
I did the same thing again and then this time I outlined it with a beautiful blue glaze pen.
Here's a sample of my writing with this pen!!
Thanks for looking!!! My pens and I are off to a crop!!

Beautiful Girls--Punky Sprouts and Bella Blvd.

A few months ago I took some pictures of the girls. They came out so adorable. I set up the tri-pod so I could be in one of them. I love how they came out. The only thing that would of made the picture better is if my beautiful niece Alyssa could have been in it.
Anyways, I wanted to make a very girlie book so I used Bella blvd.'s new line with Punky Sprouts Rebel album.
I may copy this book and give one to my mom because she also loved the pictures and she loves this line.

fun pictures from different times.

I was looking thru my pictures and came across some from different days that I thought I would share.

I love this picture. It's of my daughter and her little friend.
I wish I took a picture of the two adults there...me and her mommy.
Why? because we were friends when we were just a tiny bit older than these two.
I love her to bits. Every time I see her daughter I see her mommy.

Sierra LOVES doing crafts. On this day she wanted to decorate shirts. We had so much fun!
We made three different shirts that she was so proud of!
This is a picture of some of my family members and of Jazzy's at Outertainment's.

These are some of the pictures from Easter. Now you may say Easter is all about Spring colors...but not this year...it was all about CARS. LOL
I love this picture of my little Tanner. He's so adorable.

Check out my little Tristan. He was so confused at first but then started gathering up eggs!!
Check out that cute confused expression on his face. LOL
My little Sierra who was way to excited to stop and take pictures.
I was driving her nuts telling her to slow down. LOL
Tristan was going to get the egg. PERIOD. LOL
Check out daddy helping him.
Sierra and Tanner after they had collected all the eggs.
The only picture I got of Jeremy. He avoids the camera. LOL
Sassy and Biscuit.
This was our Pampered Chef party the other night.
Check out Carlos and Juan. Such the experts.
My brother was proud of his onion chopping skills.
Jazzy getting her hands dirty. She did a great job.
Audrianna was grating the cheese.
Thanks for looking!!

Sandy Smiles...all finished

Yesterday I posted the cover of my beach themed book. I was almost done but not quite. So now I'm posting the entire book. I had a lot of fun creating it. I loved everything about it...the colors, the shapes, pictures, stickers, everything!! :)
I did a couple of things to the shape of the pages just to play around. I'll try to explain.
This first page. You can't really tell but it's a thin canvas page. Maybe when you click on the picture you will see it better. I added fun Bella Blvd. chipboard pieces and papers.
The original shape of the canvas page was bigger and was shaped like a bracket. I used the piece that I cut off to another page. You can see it in the back of the book.
Oh you can see the size of the canvas piece here on the left hand side. I added journaling to the back side of the page.
The two pieces to the right were one original chipboard page. It was long like the rest of the book. I cut the pieces to make them smaller. The bracket on the larger chipboard piece was already on the original piece.
The bracket canvas piece that I cut off on the first page, I added to the right side of this chipboard page. I wanted to keep this page simple to show off the beautiful picture.
I added glimmer mist by Tattered Angel's to this page. I love the color Sunflower. It's so pretty!
I took a lot of the round chipboard pieces plus others to decorate this border. I added twine to the buttons.
The last two pieces of this book I adhered together. I created the page on the acrylic piece. Glazed it with mod podge. I then used the last canvas sheet as a background. I adhered it from the backside.
So there's my book!!! Hope you like it.

Sandy Smiles Mini Book and scrapping time!

I was asked by a couple of scrappers to create a beach themed book.
So I thought about the pictures and remembered I had taken some fun ones of Sierra and her friend at the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk. I knew I had the perfect paper line, It's from Bella Blvd. It's their summer line.
It's so awesome! The colors are great and the embellishments are WOW!
I used one of our Punky Sprouts albums--Punk n' circumstance.
I started working on it at a crop that I went to today.
THANK YOU ANGELA!!! You rock lady!
I thought it might be hard to use because it had a lot of different shapes but I can honestly say it wasn't. I'm working on it right now and I'm almost done. I will be sure to post the rest of the pictures tomorrow when I am all done!!!
What do you think so far of the cover?

The quieter side of ME!

The quieter side of me!
Those that know me would say I'm crazy, loud, silly, wacky, and nuts!
Well the truth of the matter is that I am those things. LOL
What you might not know is that there is actually a quiet side of me too. STOP spitting out your drinks or falling over, It's true!!. LOL
I have a quiet side too. LOL It just hasn't been witnessed much by others.
When I'm alone, I really enjoy reading, meditating, and studying.
When I'm alone, I plan out my primary lessons that I love teaching to my wonderful 4 year old class at church.
When I'm in my quiet zone I think about everything around me. I give thanks to my Heavenly Father for the blessings he gives me on a daily basis.
I enjoy reading a good book and scrapbooking.
The quieter side of me has been teaching me to be more humble, patient, and to be more thankful for what I have. It's been helping me to become the person that I know my Heavenly Father wants me to be.
I actually love being wild and crazy! It's ME, but when that part of me is exhausted, LOL
I really love the quiet side of me.

Confessions of a teenage hottie!

The other day I decided to work with the NEW Punky Sprouts mini album. I looked at the pictures of my niece and new exactly what papers I wanted to use. They were the new ones from American Crafts that were given to me to play with.
I thought hard about the title and asked several friends and all were good but I looked at the pictures again and came up with this one. LOL
I love how this book came out. It was the first time I played with it and couldn't put it down. It has several pages but it actually didn't take me long to do.
I did part of it at a crop that I went to and then went home and finished it.
The book is from Punky Sprouts and the paper are American Crafts.
