A dream come true

I have heard the words, " I want my own puppy" a thousand times. A thousand times I have told her the same thing, "when you're older".

On her last birthday we sat down and watched an old movie called, My dog skip. It was such a cute movie about a boy who gets a dog and he brings him so much happiness. Sierra smiled, giggled, and cried through out the entire movie.

When it was over the words, "Mommy I want a puppy so much!" came out of her mouth.

I told her that we would start "LOOKING" and "RESEARCHING" puppies and that we would get her one when she turned eight.

I remembered the puppy place where we got Sassy and planned to go there one day. We were on our walk from my store to Starbucks and I heard the sounds of puppies. I looked around and saw that a cute little puppy store was opening that day.

Sierra was in HEAVEN!!! We hung out there for a while and played with all the puppies. The owner Joey is a doll and talked with Sierra and I for a long time.

Well since that day we have been there almost EVERY DAY hanging out and helping with a lot of different things.

We have really got to know them and we love them to pieces.

As a thank you for all the help Joey gave Sierra her very own puppy.

The words, "I'm so happy I can explode" came out of her mouth.

She got to choose her own puppy and this is the one that she wanted.

This really is a dream come true. She's so happy!!!!

Fun with the Family

Sunday was so much fun! We planned to get up early and go to Quarry Lakes. Christian and Jeremy were at the puppy store all day so the rest of us met over there.

It was blazing hot but we enjoyed our time there. Here are some the pictures I took. They are soooo not in order.

Sleeping in...

wow, it feels good to sleep in. I haven't done that in a super long time. Angel opened the store for me this morning and Paul took the kids to work with him so I stayed in bed...and even though I couldn't sleep because my body is use to waking up at 7am I forced myself to stay in bed.
I watched tv, and watched tv, and watched more tv. LOL
What did I watch???? The Olympics, The Illusionist, and Batman Forever (don't ask me why).
I do so much during the week it was really nice to just sleep in.

"I'm warning you Suzy......"

"I'm going to take off your phone". Those are the words that came out of Paul's mouth the other day. WHY???
Because I've been baadddddddddddddddddddddddddd! I use my cell phone so much that I go over every month.
Well he warned me and warned me that he was going to take it off a few months ago and he finally did! Just because I went over 3,000 minutes. I'm sure I had important things to talk about.
"Erin....what ya doing?"
"Rocio do you want to go to La Fondue?"
"random stranger....why is the sky so blue?"
Well it was off and he didn't put it on for a while. The girls would laugh at me because I was having serious withdrawls.
So I need to watch my phone usage. It's getting out of control again.
The funny thing is...that I actually don't like using the phone. Isn't that wierd? The only time I like to be on it is when I use the cell phone. It's like it's calling out my name in a sweet intoxicating voice and I pick it up with love. my precious
Regular phones? don't like them but oh well. I need to use them more. So everyone that calls me on my cell phone....help a sister out....call me at work. LOL

Something you don't know about me...I am so addicted to this site...

The Internet Movie Database, aka imdb

Everytime I watch a movie or watch a tv show I look it up at that site and look up the movie stars. Don't ask me why but I like to find out if a star is a son or daughter of someone famous or if they have famous siblings. LOL I also want to know what they are working on.

Today I watched an episode of FAMILY MATTERS, don't ask me why. I must have been bored. I looked up "Eddy Winslow" and found out he's the voice of Jazz from Transformers.

I do this for EVERY movie I watch. It's a sickness.

Anyone else like this site? Please tell me I'm not alone. LOL

***********************ADDING a new piece of I'm a dork NEW information I just found out that is going to make me sound soooooooooooooooooooo lame*****************

I turned on the tv this morning and a movie called, A man of La Mancha was on. It's a musical that I've never watched. I was about to turn the channel when I saw a familiar face.

It was the face of Gino Conforti. You may not recognize his real name but if you were a serious THREE'S COMPANY fan you'll remember this name, Felipe. Do you remember him? He was another chef and Jack took his job. He was HILARIOUS!
I had no idea he was the original fiddler in Fiddler on the roof.
Okay I'm a dork but you knew that already.

Back to the regular schedule program...LOL

Is it true? We lose it more and more everytime we have a child???

If this is true, I must have about 25 kids hidden somewhere. I'm not joking, lately I feel like I'm losing my mind. We are extremely busy with work, lots of classes, kid stuff, Brazil things, and more. I can't remember what I ate in the morning and I even checked yesterday to see if I actually put on underwear.
Seriously, Suzy needs a little vacation from having to use her brain. It needs to be working on overdrive and instead it has an "elvis has left the building" sign on it.
Anyone else feeling this way lately? if so, can I hear an Amen! LOL

MTV update

I've received several emails about the MTV show.
Angel said they had a lot of fun filming on Saturday. They love Jerry, the camera guy. He's filmed them before and couldn't wait to film them again. Jerry travels all over the world filming all kinds of reality shows. He know's EVERYONE.
The show is going to air on August 2nd. There is going to be a "engaged and underaged" (couples between the ages of 18 and 21 getting married) marathon that day leading up to a LIVE wedding in Time Square (never been done before).
Then they will do the updates on some of their favorite couples that include Angel and Christian.
They are excited about the show.

My perfect weekend

I had the perfect weekend!! I hung out with all my girlfriends at the store. It was so much freaking fun!!! I got a layout done. The next day I was at work and continued to scrap. I got to hang out with Carla, Noel, and Rocio. It was so nice! Everyone that knows me knows that if I pull out a new set of alphabet and a few papers I will use them up until they are pretty much gone. LOL So You'll notice in these three layouts a lot of similar products. LOL

I'm boring but at least I got some pages done. I did another one but forgot to take a picture..it's called, "Listen up homegirl" and it's dedicated to ROCIO!LOL

Paul and the kids came by on Saturday to have lunch at work. It was so nice to have them there and to hang out for a while.
That evening, the possee got together and we went to see JOHN MAYER in concert at the Shoreline. OMG we had the BEST TIME!!! We laughed HYSTERICALLY the entire night! We got our "seats" on the lawn and enjoyed a concert under the stars. It was so stinkin' cool! These are some of my favorite photos from the evening.

So today I got up and spent the day with my family. We met up with Angel and her family and had lunch at Chevy's. We then went to the puppy store that we've been hanging out at by my store. It just opened and Sierra is in HEAVEN! My parents met us there and they loved on the puppies as well. We all then went to Angel's place and the kids went swimming. It was so nice! I took this picture of her view from her apartment. It's so beautiful! I feel so happy to have her be in a place that she loves so much.

MTV is back...

MTV has been contacting Angel again. They asked her if they could do a "where are they now" show. They are coming to film this weekend. They will be following them as they go to all their different spots. I am excited to watch Mr. Tanner for a little bit on Saturday while they do some couple filming.
After that I'm off with all the girls to see John Mayer! YIPPPEEE!!
Anyway, I'll try to keep you posted about the show.

Little boy blue

My son is 14. What does he want to do? Play video games...like all the time. Does he want to go out with friends? Do anything fun? Nope, he wants to play games.
So mommy got a little upset and took the game away.
Son was very sad and mad. Mommy thought tooo bad.
Son was so upset he didn't want to talk to mommy all day.
Mommy called her son up and sweetly said, "You better chill or you can say good bye to your games forever"
Son got over it fast and is now talking to mommy but is still upset. Mommy doesn't care because she wants son to have a life.
Son is grounded from games for a week.
If daddy is reading this...give son our game back before the week is over...(said in a sweet voice) you will be sleeping on the couch. :) Love ya.
Okay mommy is going back to work now.

I'm back from CHA!

I'm back from a wonderful weekend in Chicago. Helen, Trish, Norma, and I worked the My Little Shoebox Booth. It was a blast and we had a very successful show.
It was great to meet a lot of new people, see a lot of the people I've met in the past, and to do a lot of fun shopping for the store.
We have a lot of exciting things happening for MLS. We've been asked to do a lot of work for magazines, tv shows, and more. I've been asked to teach in Brazil. I said I wasn't going to do a lot of traveling, but come on...it's BRAZIL!! I'm working a show there and then traveling to Rio to teach in the owners new store. I can't wait!
Anyway, it's good to be back.

Creating...

We've been waiting for the new products of My Little Shoebox to come in and they finally did! The product is so beautiful!!

The problem??? It's FOUR days before the show. I leave on Thursday so that means I have two days to create!! YIKES!!! "Mojo come back...mojo come back...mojo come back" that's what I've been chanting since the product came in. I created this layout right before I left work tonight. The entire layout is using MLS. Yup--papers, die cuts, mini letters, big letters, transparancies, and chipboard buttons. I really love the colors on this collection. (A little Birdie Told Me line)

Ten Years Ago:

WOW, I can't tell you what I was doing exactly ten years ago today but I can tell you what was going on during that time.
We were getting ready to move into the house we are in now. I was planning to attend the scrapbook expo and to tell people that I was starting a brand new club called, "bay area scrappers". Wow, that was so long ago! I was helping my friend Katie photographing weddings.
Ten years ago I had two kids. Angel was only 9 years old and Jeremy was 4. We were getting ready to go on our annual trip to Disneyland and just enjoying the summer.

2. Go to Target to pick up paper towells, garbage bags, and more for the crop.
3. Get things ready for tomorrow's garage sale

Lots of stuff...

The American Idol concert ROCKED!!! I had such a great time with Rocio! We didnt' take pictures because neither of us brought cameras. Can you freakin' believe it?

The Davids and Michael Johns were my favorites!! WOWSERS were they good!! I screamed like a crazy school girl!! LOL

Syesha sounded spectacular! One of her songs was, Listen by Beyonce and WOW! She worked it!Jason was so stinkin' adorable and sounded really good!

I loved Brooke! Didn't forget the lyrics and she was great!

Carly was like WOW! What a voice.

Kristy was good. I loved it when she sang, "God bless the USA".

Chikezi sounded awesome but I didn't like his song choices.

Ramiele was my least favorite but she has a good voice.

Can't wait for the next season to start!

I'm excited for My Little Shoebox!! We have been preparing for CHA for a while now. We leave for Chicago next week. I am sooooo not looking forward to the weather. We have a lot of new stuff coming out. Including...

We are getting ready for the Garage Sale this weekend. Lots of our customers are going to be selling new and used items. It's going to be wild!

Jeremy is 14 today!!

I got up this morning and Jeremy was already up and getting ready to go to summer school. I looked up at him and I swear I felt like he grew about 5 inches this morning.

Right before my eyes was a young man and I kid you not I felt my heart melt. He's just so stinkin' sweet and adorable and as cute as can be. I am so lucky to have him as a son.

Tonight we are going to celebrate at Red Lobster so he can get his favorite meal...A LOBSTER!
