Grateful for the beauty around me

The tragedy that has happened in Japan has saddened me so much!
One day everything is good...the next day...everything is gone!
It's unbelievable to think that this could happen anywhere and to anyone.
I feel especially grateful for all the beauty that is around me. I think I take it for granted and that needs to stop!

Today...make a decision to appreciate your surrounding. Enjoy the streets, the lights, your home, your church, schools, stores, parks, the grass, the trees, your family & friends....everything!

For the first time....

A miracle has happened!!!! For the first time in a long time...my crazy frizzy hair went bye bye!!!

Miss Tricia...you know the one I posted about yesterday....did my hair...and taught this almost (coughcough40coughcough) 30 plus year old gal how to do her hair.

Who knew I was doing all the wrong things all this time...that would probably be why I look like I have a mop on the top of my head. LOL

This past week I used mousse...something I thought I shouldnt' use.

I learned how to put products in my hair....like don't just put it on the top part of your hair...try mixing it in everywhere and add more if you need too....wow...so hard...not! LOL

You can curl curls...with out making it look like a fake curl.

I learned the best way to set my hair.

Dude...I learned a lot!

So guess what? I did my hair on my own and although it didn't look as great as what Tricia did...I still made it work and there was no frizz!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!

The girls soooo loved how she does hair that we are going to all drive up together and have her do all of our hair the same day! LOL (She's in Sacramento)

This is me...

This is me...RAW!
I think everybody knows that I am an open book.
I am ME here, there, everywhere.
It's pretty scary but it's true.

I love these pictures of me...not because I'm hot or sexy...because really truly..
reality is...I'm getting old! LOL

Exhibit #1--the wrinkles

Check out all those wrinkles! You know what? I'm okay with them
The ones around my eyes just mean that I smile a lot!!
If that causes me to have even more wrinkles? So be it! LOL

I'm okay with having one of those "funny" faces. I have crazy features but it's okay.
I'm just me and there is no one else like me.

The real me is as clueless as can be! I say things that even make me wondering what the freak is going on in my head. LOL

The real me behaves like a child! I still watch cartoons with the kids and
could watch I-Carly all day long! My idea of a great trip is going to Disneyland!!

The real me LOVES to wear headbands! I wear one almost everyday!!
Secret: I even buy them at Gymboree and other fun kid places to find some that represent ME!

The real me is full of love for my friends and family.
I love knowing that they know that I would do anything for them.
You can call me or text me at ANY time of the day and night and I'll always answer for you!

The real me is full of flaws but I know I'm only human!
The people that are my REAL friends know that they could come and talk to me if they had a problem with them and we can just fix it and then it's all forgotten.

So yes...this is me. Take me or leave me.
YOU can always send me a text, email, or call me and it doesn't matter if we haven't talked in a day, week, year, or long. Either way...I'll always be here.

The quieter side of ME!

The quieter side of me!

Those that know me would say I'm crazy, loud, silly, wacky, and nuts!

Well the truth of the matter is that I am those things. LOL

What you might not know is that there is actually a quiet side of me too. STOP spitting out your drinks or falling over, It's true!!. LOL

I have a quiet side too. LOL It just hasn't been witnessed much by others.

When I'm alone, I really enjoy reading, meditating, and studying.

When I'm alone, I plan out my primary lessons that I love teaching to my wonderful 4 year old class at church.

When I'm in my quiet zone I think about everything around me. I give thanks to my Heavenly Father for the blessings he gives me on a daily basis.

I enjoy reading a good book and scrapbooking.

The quieter side of me has been teaching me to be more humble, patient, and to be more thankful for what I have. It's been helping me to become the person that I know my Heavenly Father wants me to be.

I actually love being wild and crazy! It's ME, but when that part of me is exhausted, LOL

I really love the quiet side of me.
