My Little Shoebox *RAK*

Hey there gals!!! I was just chatting with my dd, Angel. We were talking about way back in the days when I found out about scrapping and how grateful I am to it.
Before scrapbooking I was doing photography and I was believe it or not, a make up artist. Since scrapbooking I have done several things...tv stuff, product design, store, teach, travel, written books. etc.
I'm so happy to have scrapbooking in my life.
I never do RAKS and would love to do one. What has scrapbooking done for you?
I will pick a number and who ever posts on that number will receive a nice set of goodies from My Little Shoebox.
Hugs
Suzy

I can honestly attest to the fact that not only has scrapping provided me with an outlet for my creativity, an incredible way to connect & cultivate lifelong bonds with people, but it has also been an important source of therapy for me.
It has helped me to journal my darkest moments, helped me heal when I was grieving, and provided me hours of awe and entertainment.
Never had I imagined that a hobby would have become such a vital part of my existance.

Scrapping has helped me to take better pictures, and take in more of what is going on in my life. I always think..."Oh, I should scrap that!"

Scrapbooking has given me a chance to show my kids and their kids what life was like during my life. I am very grateful for this because I dont have this same opportunity.

Scrapbooking has been a true godsend for me. It gives me the much needed escape and "me time" that I need. I can focus on something that inspires me and not worry about everyday stuff. I have also met some truly wonderful people through scrapbooking.

Scrapping is my creative outlet. It also lets me experiment with my photography, AND everyone I know gets homemade presents at least once a year! I also met so many wonderful people that wouldn't be in my life had I not been a scrapper.

there was a long period of time after i stopped playing the flute/piccolo and started scrapbooking in which i had restless creative energy without an outlet. it was incredibly irritating and frustrating. but then i found it! i found it! :D i found scrapbooking and now i feel as though i have found an incredible outlet and as a bonus, i'm pretty good at it. :D

There are so many wonderful things that scrapbooking has given to me. One is the friendships, most of my closest friends are scrapbookers. Another would be the creativity, not just the page, but taking the photographs. The one thing I really enjoy is the memories, to create the page and remember the moment, and also to look back years later at the created page and remember both the moment and the creation of the page. I love scrapbooking for all those reasons and more. (Sounds like a flippin advertisement, roll the mushy music!!!)

I find it so therapeutic. No matter the emotion, good or bad, there is something calming about the physical act of cutting paper, gluing things, looking for embellishments, etc. It really helps to express yourself on paper. Plus, I always feel a sense of accomplishment when I complete a page. :)

I scrap because it's my life on a page. Friends, family, things that have impacted my life in one way or another. I love this paper craft and would never trade it for anything.

Scrapping is a creative outlet for me, and also a great way to record our family history. I love looking back at finished pages, and seeing how my style and skills have evolved over the years. I just wish there were more hours in the day...:) I always feel better after scrapping, even if it's just a few minutes.
I've also made some great friends and met people I never would have if it weren't for this amazing hobby.

Scrapbooking has helped me document and capture all of the little things my kids do that make me laugh, cry and love them even more that I would probably forget otherwise. I don't have many pictures or stories from my childhood (my mom wasn't in to preserving memories for me) and I want my children and their children to be able to see how they grew up.

Scrapping has given me a chance to connect with friends, have some "me" time and to enjoy the creative process of scrapping. Considering I don't have a natural creative bone in my body (LOL) it's fun to do something I honestly enjoy but challenges me creatively.

Through scrapbooking I have met so many sweet, friendly people. And formed some treasured friendships. I love that women of different ages and backgrounds, whose lifes wouldn't have crossed paths otherwise, can sit and talk and have fun together with this great (and addicting) hobby.

Scrapping has been in my life for over 20 years but I think that I have been more of a "scrapper" in the last year. Besides my family & friends, scrapbooking is what I do!! Ever since SIStv - I have become more of an addict!!!! Love it!

Scrapping was my salvation when we moved from Canada to the USA. I didn't know anyone, and so I turned to scrapping to fill the lonely hours. It opened so many doors for me and introduced me to so many wonderful people - I have made friends all over the world thanks to scrapping. It gave me so much more then I ever dreamed.

At first I thought scrapbooking was one of those artsy things I couldn't do. I can, not very good but I love it. My daughter does it also. It has brought a lot of joy and laughter in to our lives and I am thankful for that.

Years ago, my hubby had so many hobbies and all i felt i was good at was being a mom...now, i have my creative outlet and so many AWESOME friends to go along with it. I take trips and truly feel nurtured through this hobby...i am so grateful.

Scrapbooking has brought two great friends back into my life, Carla and Satyn. We have always been friends but somehow had kind of drifted apart and did not talk much. I am soooo glad that they got me to start scrapping on Friday nights! It has become the highlight of my week!
